Within the last two years we’ve seen the influence of the seventies go from small, fashionable accessories into a revived cultural attitude. It comes as no surprise that a resurgence of the hippie style would happen within the peak years of Gen Z. The dogma of the seventies movement has become a cross-generational dream that seems intrinsically tied with flare jeans and crochet. A shared emphasis on political activism, social reform, and a common acceptance of Mary Jane, coupled with a longing of an age before the internet, the seventies have influenced the 2020’s immeasurably.
